Why wool in warm weather
Merino moves moisture as vapour before it turns into sweat, so the shirt does not go heavy and cling the way cotton does. It also blocks UV — lightweight merino carries a UPF rating of 25. And it resists odor, which is the real reason travellers switch: three or more wears between washes is normal.

Does it itch
No. Itch is a function of fibre diameter, and anything under roughly 22 micron sits below the threshold. Ours measures 17.5.
